We help to determine if the business actually falls into the definition of “sole proprietor” and if so we perform the same due diligence we would for a small business – shopping the market, comparing available plans and helping to enroll them.
Sometimes Healthy New York is the option that fits – unfortunately that option will not be available with the advent of the exchange “Marketplace” effective January 1, 2014. Sole proprietors will, at that time, have to obtain their coverage through the “Individual Marketplace” and we can continue to serve as guide and adviser.
